Empties ~ January 2017

It’s only been a few months since I’ve last done an empties post, but I’ve really been trying to get better about it! I didn’t like when I had so many products to mention, so I’m working on doing them more often. This way, I can really explain more on each product if I need to and the post won’t be a million years long. We all know how I can go on! I still broke them up into categories to keep things more organized and although some of these have made an appearance before, I kept them in here because my opinion has changed on a few. That’s why I love empties reviews, you get the best opinions after you’ve finished the entire product.

Starting with skincare items for the body, I believe this is only my second bottle that I have used up of the c.Booth 4-in-1 Body Lotion. I’ve had the Passionfruit scent previously, but loved this Vanilla Butter one so much that I bought it again to carry me through the winter months. This lasts me a full 6 months using it every single night, so it’s totally worth the money and it’s great for your skin. I’ve also noticed this scent sticking around an entire 24 hours after applying it. Huge recommendation on this one!!

Another lotion I used up is the Aveeno Stress Relief lotion. This is made with lavender, chamomile, and ylang-ylang and although I’m not the biggest fan of lavender scents, I did think this was fine. My fiancé actually surprised me with this when he came home one day. He bought it as a lotion to use while massaging my feet, which he does pretty frequently. I am beyond grateful for those sweet gestures of his, so huge shoutout to him on that one! Aveeno is known for having nice products and this felt wonderful on my feet. It was very moisturizing, but it’s not one that I would recommend for the entire body because it did leave a little residue and took a while to soak into the skin.

The last lotion I finished was a travel size of Bath & Body Works’ Eucalyptus Spearmint lotion from their Aromatherapy Stress Relief line. I wasn’t so sure about this at first and whether it would work or not. The formula is just the same as any other Bath & Body Works lotion, but I was focusing more on the scent. I did notice the fragrance help relax me when I was extremely stressed or feeling sick. I would definitely repurchase this one again and have already bought the candle too!

The only product I have finished up in hair care is my favorite Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Moist Deep Conditioner. This is my favorite deep conditioner ever! I use it twice a week and it has worked wonders for my hair. I almost never even have to use a hair mask anymore and the coconut scent on this has lasted an entire 24 hours even after sleeping, heat styling, and being windblown. If you haven’t tried this yet, you need to get your hands on it asap!!

The only other item I ran out of as far as skincare is concerned is this White Mountain Epsom Salt. I find this at Walmart for around 88 cents, which is an incredible steal! It doesn’t have a scent, so you can add in whatever bubbles you would like while still having the benefits of the epsom salt. This can help heal many things on the body, but I really like it to ease sore muscles. If I do something physically active where I know I’ll be sore, I soak in this for about 15 minutes and it prevents my muscles from aching the next day.

I do have a few makeup products that I have used up, the first being the C.O. Bigelow My Favorite Night Balm. I got this from Bath & Body Works and was a little skeptical of it at first. I’ve tried a few products from this line, some that I’ve liked and some that I haven’t. This is one I really liked. You can read more details about it in my full review, but this is definitely one I would recommend.

I also finally finished up the Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing mascara. I use a lot of mascara regularly when I apply my makeup, so I don’t know why it takes me so long to go through a tube of it. This one was really nice, I liked it on days where I wasn’t wearing much makeup or needed to get ready fast and didn’t have time for two mascaras. This created a lot of volume and was pretty easy to build up. It did clump a little, but nothing terrible.

The last product I have finished (kinda) is the INM Out The Door top coat. I bought this hoping it would be a nice alternative to the Seche Vite. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to finish the entire bottle because it started gooping up just like the Seche Vite does, which is exactly why I wanted to try this one instead. It did dry quickly, but it didn’t leave my nails as shiny or keep my polish on as long. It’s not one I would really recommend for those reasons and I’ve already repurchased another Seche Vite instead.

I’ve finally come to realize just how many products I have stacking up around the house and I’m making it a point to really work through some to clear things out. I tend to try products a few times and if I don’t like it, then it just sits there. I need to do some cleaning out!! Is anyone else like that? I have my favorites and if a new product doesn’t live up to those standards, I forget about it and go back to what works. That’s great and all, until you don’t have room for anything else. So now, operation clean up is in full effect!

Have you tried any of these products before? Let me know what you thought of them in the comment section below!
