London Fog Tea Latte

Winter is definitely not my favorite thing ever. I don’t like wearing layers or waiting so long for water to warm up to wash my face in the mornings. But since there’s no escaping the cold Winter weather, even in Florida, one thing I can enjoy is cozying up with a warm drink at the end of the day. Hot chocolate used to be my favorite, but lately I’ve been obsessed with London Fog Lattes. I can’t get enough!!
Ingredients needed are:

~1 Earl Grey Tea bag
~6 oz water
~1 tsp sugar
~¼ tsp vanilla extract
~Milk
The first thing we need is boiling water. I find it easiest to just fill my glass and pop it in the microwave for about 2-2 ½ minutes. Once the water’s hot, I drop in the tea bag and let it steep for 4 minutes. Sometimes I’ll even use a little less water, or let it steep longer, for a stronger flavor.
Earl Grey tea is delicious on its own, but to make it a London Fog we need to jazz it up a little bit. I add in the sugar, vanilla extract, and just a splash of milk. When it comes to the vanilla, I aim for ¼ tsp but I just kinda eyeball it in the same teaspoon I use to scoop in the sugar. When in doubt, I always aim for less because vanilla extract can easily overpower the flavor.
Most of the time, I like to enjoy it as a hot drink but it’s just as delicious served with ice. The best thing about iced tea is that it doesn’t get watered down like most other drinks. My favorite thing about this tea latte is that it’s decaf so I can enjoy it any time during the day or night.
