How To Grow Longer Hair Faster

There’s nothing that I can even compare to explain how slow my hair grows. It’s ridiculous and something I have always hated. Everyone always says you need to get your hair cut regularly to make it grow faster, but I never saw a difference doing that. And do you know how traumatic it can be when it takes so long to notice the slightest amount of growth just to go and have it chopped off? Helloo?! Heartbreak! Finally I’ve had enough of it and have tried what seems like everything under the sun to make my hair grow faster and I think I’ve finally got it! Within the past two years, I’ve noticed a huge difference not only in the length of my hair, but also it’s health and I just have to share it with you!

The first thing I started doing (and probably what made the biggest difference the fastest) was taking biotin supplements. The older I’ve gotten, I’ve realized that my body has a hard time holding onto many vitamins, so taking two of these 1,000 mcg biotin gummies every day really does help. I’ve mentioned these before and how they’ve helped clear my skin, but they also make a big difference in how fast my hair grows and how strong it is. I’m pretty petite, so 2,000 mcg a day is fine for me and my body, but they do make them in pill form that are much higher dosages.

Aside from what I put in my body to help my hair, I also needed to focus on what I was putting on it. These two products have helped me so much and now I can’t ever be without them! I use Aussie’s 3 Minute Miracle Moist Deep Conditioner twice a week. Not only does it have the best, most delicious coconut scent ever it also leaves my hair extremely soft and nourished. Only the Moist version, though. I’ve tried the Strong one too and didn’t notice anything.

It’s very rare that I have to use a hair mask since the Aussie Deep Conditioner does such a good job, but when I do I like to use just plain coconut oil. If you buy into all of the organic stuff, then you can go that route when picking up coconut oil, but I just get whatever’s cheapest. I honestly think it makes zero difference, besides in my wallet. You can use this once or twice a week. Just apply it liberally all over your hair, but be careful because it can make a mess. I typically leave it in for an hour or two and then shampoo it out. You’ll probably have to shampoo twice otherwise it will leave a lot of oil behind, which is totally not cute!

I did this next one without even realizing. Of course, hot tools aren’t the best thing for your hair. I had just gotten too lazy and messy buns had become an everyday thing. Little did I know how great it actually was for my hair. By eliminating items like hairspray and creams, I didn’t get as much product build up on my scalp and my hair stayed healthy from not being touched with so much heat. After a while, I noticed how shiny my hair was getting and how much stronger it felt. Messy buns #FTW

If you just can’t be without heating tools, at least make sure you’re protecting your hair before you do it. Whether it be a cream or spray heat protectant, there needs to be at least something there or you’re just asking for trouble. My favorite is the Pantene Heat Protection Spray. Unfortunately, the sprayer on it is awful so I transfer it into this $1 pink spray bottle I got at Target. When I switched to this spray, even my hairdresser noticed a difference when I went in for a trim. That’s really saying something!

Using all these tricks, my hair is longer and than it has ever been before. And you better believe I am not in the salon as often as I “should be” getting regular trim ups. I can’t say that one thing helped more than another, I really do think it was a combination of all of these that got my hair to such a healthy state. Now if I could just figure out how to control this frizz! Florida problems…

I hope you found this helpful and if you have any questions, please feel free to leave them in the comments below. Also, let me know what your best hair hack is!
