Tarte Cosmetics Be You, Naturally Palette Review

When it comes to packaging, Tarte has to be one of my favorites. They tend to keep things pretty simple and use a lot of gold, making their palettes look so elegant. I’ve reviewed a few of their circular eyeshadow palettes before: the Rainforest of the Sea Volume I and Volume II. But when I first landed my eyes on the shade selection in this Be You, Naturally palette, I had a feeling it was going to be my favorite.

Along with all the other palettes that come in this packaging, this retails for $36 and comes with eight eyeshadows. This one also has a large mirror, but is missing the shade names on the inside of the palette. Instead, the shades are listed on a sticker on the back of the palette. Not to be super picky because it’s better than no names at all, but it is an annoyance compared to the ease of their other palettes.
One of the things I love most about this palette are the even amount of matte (noted with an “m”) and shimmer shades. The eyeshadows shown from left to right in the swatch picture below are: Dusk (m), Earthy, Tropical, Crystallized (m), Glacier, Daybreak (m), Sunbeam, and Explore (m).

Glacier is the only one that has any kind of glitter fallout. Most of the shadows are smooth and creamy, but Glacier is a little dry. Dusk can be on the lighter side and may take some work to build up, depending on your skin tone. Aside from those two, all the other eyeshadows in this palette are incredibly pigmented and they all have their own place. There are no two shades that are similar.
Being the neutral eyeshadow lover that I am, I love this palette! It has everything I need to create an entire eye look from start to finish. It has crease shades, highlighting shades, shimmery lid shades, and defining shades that can double as eyeliner. When comparing this to other high-end eyeshadow palettes, this is one I’d be quick to recommend because the quality is great and the price is pretty fair.
