Derma E Face Mist Review

Face mists can sometimes seem like such a simple, almost unnecessary, product. It’s not until you use one that you realize how essential they really are. Not to be confused with setting sprays, face mists are something completely different that have a more wide range of uses. Derma E just released three new mists that are infused with essential oils to make the experience even more luxurious.
Each of these face mists come in a thick plastic bottle, retailing for $18.95 for 1 fl oz. They can be found on the Derma E brand website and in some Ulta stores. While they all have their own unique blend of essential oils, they have the same base of Purified Spring Water, Witch Hazel, Hyaluronic Acid, Coconut Essence, and Citrus Waters to comfort and nourish the skin.

This first one is called Uplift and some of its key ingredients include Orange, Grapefruit, Chamomile, and Lavender essential oils to help boost your mood while adaptogens Eleuthero and Arctic Root work to reduce the feeling of fatigue and anxiety. This is definitely a more bright, citrus scent that is very refreshing and awakening.
The second one is called Create, which is made with a combination of Rosemary, Ginger, and Spearmint essential oils to stimulate your senses. It also includes adaptogens Cordyceps and Cardamom to promote focus and clarity. The spearmint definitely takes over in this one, but I don’t really mind that because it feels very fresh and clean.
The last one is called Calm and the essential oils it includes are Lemon, Eucalyptus, Sage, and Rosemary that will soothe and calm the skin while adaptogens Amla and Gotu Kola work to reduce the feelings of fatigue and calm the senses. This one is named appropriately because the scent really helps to calm the nerves. It almost reminds me of a spa -- very relaxing.
My favorite thing about face mists is how refreshing they are and when using these particular sprays, I can find comfort knowing they’re made with beneficial ingredients. The packaging feels high-quality and the spray nozzle on each of these provide a very fine mist. As with any face mists, I like to use a mini fan to help it dry quicker.

These could also be stored in the fridge for an even more refreshing experience. However, I wouldn’t recommend using them in place of a setting spray. I’d be concerned about the essential oils breaking down the makeup. I typically use these in the morning, at night, or whenever I’m not wearing makeup. I don’t know that they’ll replace my beloved Evian spray, but they are really good quality and something I’d recommend.
