Kopari Coconut Deodorant Review

Switching to a natural deodorant and eliminating aluminum from the underarm area sounds like a great idea. The problem is that most of them don’t work. I’ve tried so many natural deodorants and they usually just end up making the situation worse. The Kopari Coconut Deodorant has gotten some great reviews within the beauty community and although I was a little hesitant, curiosity got the best of me. I just had to see what all the hype was about!

Kopari Beauty products can usually be found in stores like Ulta and Sephora, as well as on the brand website. Because I was so hesitant to try another natural deodorant, I decided to purchase the Beach scent in the travel size (.9 oz) for $10. The full size includes 2 oz for $14. There are also six other scent options to choose from including Original, Driftwood, Gardenia, Tropical, Coastal, and Fragrance Free.

Aside from being aluminum free, this deodorant is also created without baking soda, parabens, silicone, sulfates, and phthalates. It is made using a unique blend of coconut water, coconut oil, and a 100% plant based active which includes a combination of natural enzymes and sage oil to break down bacteria.

When switching to a natural deodorant, there is usually a detox period while the body adjusts to the elimination of harsh chemicals. This typically includes more sweating and smell for a few weeks. I’ve experienced that with other natural deodorants before, but not with this particular formula.

Based on my past experiences with other natural deodorants, I wasn’t really expecting much with this one. But, thankfully, it actually works!! It can take a minute or two to completely dry after application, but it goes on clear and it lasts all day. Although the formula does have a tendency to smell a little bit like baby powder, the scent isn’t overpowering and it doesn’t linger throughout the day.

I’m amazed at how well this deodorant works and I will definitely be repurchasing it in the full size! I love how smooth the formula is in that it’s not sticky at all, I love its clear finish so that it doesn’t leave any residue on my clothes, and I’m in awe of how well it works to both neutralize odors and prevent perspiration. This is the only natural deodorant I would recommend!
