Ulta & Sephora Birthday Gifts 2021
Reward programs are offered at all kinds of different stores and while they can sometimes be a little overwhelming, they definitely have their perks. Like free birthday makeup from Ulta and Sephora! The gift sets offered each year are always different and it’s so exciting to see what the options will be. Usually, one bundle tends to be better than the other but this year they’re both amazing!
In order to receive Ulta’s birthday gift you need to be part of their Ultamate Rewards Program, which just requires a valid email address. An email will be sent to your inbox with a barcode that is valid for your entire birthday month. The employees will need to scan the barcode at checkout (no purchase necessary) to give you the gift.
The January 2021 gift is a travel size tube of the Too Faced Better than Sex mascara. I’ve had this mascara before and was pretty happy with it, so I’m much more excited about this year’s gift than I was about last year’s Estee Lauder serum. I’ve already worn it a few times and it’s actually more dramatic than I remember!
At Sephora, the system works a little bit differently. You still need to be signed up for their Beauty Insider Rewards program, but rather than scanning a barcode all you need in order to get the gift is to provide your phone number or email address to the employee. They also keep the same gifts throughout the entire year and give you the option to choose between a makeup or skincare gift set.
I usually always pick the makeup option, but when I visited the store they were still offering last year’s gift so I chose the skincare instead. This is a Laneige set, which includes mini sizes of their Lip Sleeping Mask, Water Sleeping Mask, and Water Bank Moisture Cream. I’ve been dying to try the Lip Sleeping Mask so I was beyond excited to see that as the available gift option!
There’s actually not nearly as much product in these mini sizes as it appears, which is a little bit of a disappointment. However, I’m still excited to try the formula before making a commitment to the pricey full size. I’ve only used these products once so far and they definitely feel very luxurious on the skin!
Sephora usually beats out Ulta on the birthday gifts almost every year, but this time they’re both offering wonderful sets! Although I didn’t get to see the makeup option at Sephora, I’m really excited to see if the Lip Sleeping Mask is worth all the hype it gets. I’m also very surprised with how impressed I’ve been with the Too Faced mascara. It’s been making my lashes look amazing!
