Crazy Intense Mask
Did you ever think that a product’s claims were a little on the crazy side, like it’s too good to be true? That’s basically what I thought a year ago when I tried the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay mask for the first time. It says on the back of the packaging that you will “feel your face pulsate.” That’s pretty extreme, so of course it made me want to try it. I buy mine at my local health food store, but it is also available on Amazon. This is seriously the most intense mask I have ever used in my life and I absolutely love it! Let me share my experience with you so you can fall in love too.
I use this mask twice a week and it has done wonders for my skin! All I do is mix equal parts (1 tbsp each) of the clay and apple cider vinegar, apply it evenly over my face, and sit in front of a fan for 20 minutes before removing it. When you go to wash it off, you won’t be able to just wipe it away on the first try. You’ll need to keep splashing water on it to loosen the clay in order to rub it off. Your face will be significantly red afterwards and the instructions say that is completely normal. Mine usually goes away about 20 minutes after removing the mask. You’ll also want to make sure to apply a nourishing moisturizer because it’s such an intense treatment.
The directions say it can be mixed with either water or apple cider vinegar, but I go with vinegar because it’s more beneficial to the skin, especially if you’re acne prone like me. Try not to apply it too thick because it does take forever to dry, which is why I sit in front of one of those little personal mini fans. Not to mention that the fan gives a cooling effect which takes away from the pulsing quite a bit. Not that the pulsing hurts at all or is a bad thing, I just don’t want to be sitting there for 30 plus minutes waiting on it to dry. While it’s drying, it does pull and tighten the skin quite a bit so give this time to yourself for some relaxation. If you do try to talk or move your face during that time, then it will be painful!
Since I don’t apply it as thick as the instructions suggest, I get way more applications than it says you’ll get out of the container. One of my favorite things about this mask (besides the price) is that it’s natural and you know exactly what’s in it, calcium bentonite clay and apple cider vinegar. You don’t have to worry about any extra weird or secret ingredients being hidden like there are in other products. I’ve applied this with my fingers, but lately have been loving applying it with a flat foundation brush. I have a couple in my collection , but I don’t like applying makeup with them so I figured this is a good way to put them to use. Plus it also makes you feel a little more pampered and gives a more even application.
This product has done some seriously amazing things for my skin and I will always recommend this to anyone. Let me know in the comments below what your results were if you have tried this product or if you have any questions/concerns. Have a beautiful day!
