40 Beauty Questions Tag
I really enjoyed doing the Get to Know Me tag I posted last month and thought it would be a nice little break from the beauty reviews for me to answer questions or do a similar tag once a month. And with Christmas just TWO days away, what a perfect time! Let’s jump right on into it, the 40 Beauty Questions Tag:
Skincare:
1.) How many times do you wash your face daily?
If I’m wearing makeup, three times a day. Otherwise just twice--morning and night.
2.) What skin type do you have?
Oily! Very, very oily and acne prone!
3.) What is your current facial wash?
In the morning, I use Clinique Acne Solutions Cleansing Foam. And at night, I’m currently testing out the Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser.
4.) Do you exfoliate?
Multiple times a week!
5.) What brand do you use?
St. Ives Apricot Scrub for the face and the Italian Mocha sugar scrub from Tree Hut for my body. I can’t live without either of those!
6.) What moisturizer do you use?
Clinique Acne Solutions All-Over Clearing Treatment both morning and night.
7.) Do you have freckles?
Only when I spend the day outside.
8.) Do you use eye cream?
Every morning and night. I’m constantly trying new eye creams and haven’t found one I’m completely in love with yet.
9.) Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
Absolutely. And it sucks!
10.) Did you ever have to use Proactiv?
I tried it before, but it didn’t make a difference on my skin which is why I use the Clinique Acne Solutions line now (and have been for almost five years). Read more on that here.
Makeup:
11.) What foundation do you use?
I love the Maybelline Dream Wonder foundation and have just recently fallen in love with Elf’s Acne Fighting Foundation, so I’ve currently been switching between the two.
12.) Concealer?

13.) Do you know your undertone color?
I can’t say that I’m 100% certain, so no...
14.) What do you think of fake eyelashes?
I like them to look as natural as possible, but I’m not such a big fan when they’re completely obvious.

15.) Did you know that you’re supposed to change your mascara every 3 months?
Yes, but I have to admit that I always have way too many mascaras opened at once and keep them for a lot longer unless they’ve dried out, of course.
16.) What brand of mascara do you use?
I use two mascaras daily. For lengthening, I love L’oreal’s Telescopic Shocking Extensions mascara in Carbon Black. I’m still on the hunt for a favorite volumizing mascara, but I’m currently using Covergirl’s Supersizer in Very Black.
17.) Sephora or MAC?
Sephora because they have more brands and options.
18.) Do you have a MAC pro-card?
No, I’ve never owned a MAC product or have even walked into a MAC store or counter.
19.) What makeup tools do you use in makeup application?
Everything! Brushes for every step, sponges, eyelash curler, etc...
20.) Do you use a base/primer for the eyes?
I have to! I have really oily eyelids, so if I don’t then my eye makeup will probably be ruined in less than 3 hours.
21.) For the face?
Most of the time, unless I’m just doing something quick and won’t have makeup on for very long.
22.) What is your favorite eyeshadow?
Ulta’s Naked because it’s so versatile. See the review and swatches here.
23.) Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
I prefer pencil, but I always go over it with an eyeshadow for staying power and to soften the line.
24.) How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
I’m not trying to brag, but I’ve probably only done it two or three times in my life.
25.) What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
I think they give insane pigmentation, but are a mess to work with! I usually try to avoid them.
26.) Do you wear mineral makeup?
Not normally, but I have been currently trying out some Bare Minerals products I hauled on Black Friday.
27.) What is your favorite lipstick?
Berry Smoothie Lip Butter from Revlon! I’ve repurchased it three times.
28.) Lipgloss?
I love C. O. Bigelow’s Mentha Supreme 2X. It’s just a clear gloss, but it feels really good on the lips, doesn’t move the lipstick you have on underneath, and tastes/smells delicious!
29.) What is your favorite blush?
30.) Do you buy makeup on Ebay?
No, but I have considered it before.
31.) Do you like drugstore makeup?
I live off of it!
32.) Do you go to Cosmetic Company Outlets?
If I’m around one, then I’ll stop in but I won’t necessarily go out of my way.
33.) Did you ever consider taking makeup classes?
Yes, that was actually my backup if my psychology major ever fell through.
34.) Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?
Not at all, but I am very scatter-brained at times.
35.) Name a makeup crime that you hate.
Painted on eyebrows!!
36.) Do you like colorful or neutral shades of makeup?
Neutral, 100%!
37.) Which celebrity always has great makeup?
Carrie Underwood! Her makeup always looks so perfect and beautiful.
38.) If you could leave the house using just ONE makeup item, what would you use?
I don’t know if I could completely choose between one of these two, but either concealer or mascara.
39.) Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?
Probably not, unless I was just going to the beach or on a bike ride with some big sunglasses!
40.) Do you think you look good without any makeup on?
I prefer to wear it, but also have to remember that it’s important to think you look good without any makeup on because real beauty and confidence comes from within. Makeup is just an accessory to that.
Extras:
41.) In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?
I love L’oreal products more than any other makeup line. I usually like mostly all of their products that I try and they’re higher quality for drugstore options.
42.) What do you think of makeup?
I LOVE IT! It’s so much fun and I look forward to playing when I get ready every morning. I love trying new products and just having fun!
