November Favorites

As excited as I am that December is tomorrow, which puts us right in the middle of the holiday season, I am not at all excited about the cold weather that’s coming along with it. I’m such a wimp when it comes to the cold and I’m already wearing so many layers I can barely move! November was such a fun month, though. I found tons of new products that I can’t wait to share!

The past few times I’ve gotten new glasses, I ordered them through GlassesUSA. I had some pretty good luck with their products for a while, but the last pair I had felt very cheap and didn’t last more than a few months. This time, I decided to purchase a pair through my eye doctor’s office.

I’m super picky and I probably drove them crazy trying on so many different styles, but I absolutely love the pair I chose. These are the Fossil 7033 style in the Dark Havana frame color. They’re a little darker and smaller than the pair I previously had, but they’re great quality and I love the shape!

A new food discovery we made this month is Braum’s ice cream! I’ve never heard of this brand until moving to Texas and I was very impressed with their flavor selection. There are so many to choose from! I’m usually a cookie or brownie kind of dessert person and it’s very rare that I ever get excited about ice cream, but I just couldn’t pass up this Deep Raspberry Ganache flavor. I love anything chocolate raspberry and this is delicious!

The sugar cones are just as important! These are thicker than any other sugar cones I’ve ever had before, which makes the whole ice cream experience much more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be going back for more. The Cappuccino Chunky Chocolate is calling my name!

Even for those of us with extremely oily skin, it’s important to use moisturizing products and find a happy balance between oil control and hydration. One of my new favorites for that purpose is the Derma E Hydrating Mist. It has Hyaluronic Acid, Rose Water, and Coconut Water which feel refreshing on the skin while also adding a decent amount of moisture. The sprayer is luxuriously fine and the glass bottle makes it seem super high-end. I apply this a few times throughout the day and use my favorite mini fan to speed up the drying process.

I’ve been reaching for this Touch in Sol No Poreblem Primer a lot lately. I originally brought it into my routine because it’s so quick and easy to apply compared to some of my other primers. But after taking a closer look at my skin, I realized how well this blurs my pores. Although it might not be the best option for oil control or extending the wear time of makeup, I’m loving its instant pore erasing effect!

I mentioned in my September Favorites that cream blush has become my go-to because it stays on the skin so much longer. I’ve still been loving the Pixi blush palette that I mentioned in that post, but I’ve also been experimenting with a few other formulas. So far, my favorite has been the AOA Studio Hush Cream Blush in the shade Cupid. For only $1, I am so impressed! The formula is insanely smooth, it blends effortlessly, and it has the perfect amount of pigmentation.

The Profusion Cosmetics Minimalist eyeshadow palette is one of the newer products to my collection and I have so been enjoying playing with all of the shades. This is a 35 shade palette, so there are plenty of colors to choose from. There are a few that are a little disappointing, which I’ll discuss in an upcoming review, but for the most part I’ve been really impressed. The soft colors in this palette are a neutral lover’s dream!

I always apply a thicker, glossy type of lip balm before I go to bed. The Smith’s Rosebud Salve used to be my favorite for years. I still love the formula and the way it feels, but it started making my lips chapped so I’ve been on the hunt for a replacement.

The one I’m currently testing is the Eos The Hero Extra Dry Lip Balm Treatment. I’ve had a lot of luck with their stick balms lately and so far, this one is also doing a pretty good job. It has a pleasant strawberry scent, it’s not sticky at all, it lasts well throughout the night, and the squeeze tube packaging makes for easy application.

Finding a good nighttime lip balm can be just as long of a process as finding the perfect pair of glasses. It may take a while, but it’s worth the search! I’m so in love with my new glasses and happy that I took the time to find exactly what I wanted. After seeing the impressive quality of that cream blush, I will definitely be going back to try more of the AOA Studio brand!

I hope you enjoyed this post! If you have any questions, please feel free to leave them for me in the comments section below. Have you tried any of these products before? What are some of your November favorites?
