Halloween Pretzel Treats
Halloween’s coming up, y’all! Only two more days away! Are you ready?? We're finally getting around to carving our pumpkins tonight and also finally decided on our couples costume for this year. Check my Instagram Thursday for the reveal! On Halloween, we’ve made it our tradition to make a quick, easy meal - Halloween themed, if possible - before dressing up to hand out treats to all the little kiddies. I have a huge sweet tooth, though, so I try to make a snack to prevent me from eating all the candy. Pretzels aren’t my favorite, but when they’re covered in chocolate it’s a whole different story. This is such an quick snack to make and could easily be altered for any holiday.
The 3 ingredients you’ll need are:
~Pretzels
~Rolo candy
~Reese’s pieces
Start by preheating the oven to 350° and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. The parchment paper is optional, but it makes clean up so much easier. Place the pretzels in an even layer on the baking sheet and put a Rolo candy in the center of each pretzel. This is where the little bag of unwrapped Rolos comes in real handy!
Put the baking sheet in the oven for about 5 minutes until the Rolos are nice and soft. Five minutes seemed to be the perfect time in my oven without melting the caramel and making a mess. As soon as you remove the pretzels from the oven, start placing a single Reese’s piece in the center of each Rolo. Use a gentle patting motion to cushion them into the candy, but be careful not to burn yourself on the hot caramel.
Sit them on the counter to cool completely and enjoy. To speed up the cooling process, you could even place them in the fridge for a few minutes. Other topping options could be pecans instead of Rolos, or Hershey Kisses with Candy Corn. The options are endless and they’re all so yummy!

Speaking of Halloween, my nail polish this week is a little hint to our couples costume for this year! The color is called Man Hunt and it’s from the Sinful Colors gel line. Regardless of it being Halloween, this is one of my favorite polishes. It’s a good formula and it’s still very affordable, although I don’t think it’s really much different than their regular polishes that aren’t gel. I’m all about this olive green right now!
What’s on your nails this week?
