Best Mascara Hack Ever

I think we all know that horrible feeling when you finally complete your beautiful eye look that you worked so hard on and then think you ruined it all when the mascara touches anywhere near it. Your stomach drops and you start running around looking for makeup remover or anything else you can get your hands on to fix the tragedy. Well, I’m here today to tell you that it’s not the end of the world and the solution could not be any easier. But the first thing you have to do is stop! Don’t touch it, let it dry completely! I know this sounds impossible, but just trust me. If it’s not completely dry, this won’t work.

As you can see, I purposefully put a huge clump of mascara by my brow bone to really show you how fool-proof this trick is. I don’t think it’s a complete secret, but it’s definitely not something that’s I hear very many people talking about. Otherwise it wouldn’t be such a common concern. So get ready to meet your new best friend and mascara’s worst enemy...a dry q-tip!

After the mascara has dried completely (usually around one minute depending on how much of it got on the skin), all you have to do is take a dry q-tip and wipe it away. That’s right, I told you the solution to this problem could not be any easier. When I learned this trick, I literally laughed so hard at all the years I had stressed about this horrible situation. I wish I knew this such a long time ago! Don’t mess with any makeup remover, oils, concealer or anything else. Patience is a virtue in a time like this. If you don’t believe me, try it on your hand right now and watch the mascara just flake right off. This works no matter where the smudge is. On your brow bone, under the bottom lashes, on the eyelid, inner corner, wherever.
I wish I could put this trick on a billboard to let everyone know! It has saved me so many times, I can’t even begin to count and has also made mascara application much less stressful. I hope this helps you next time you run into this problem and I’d love to hear your comments if you give it a try! Have a fabulous weekend! :)
