My First Time Tag

What a scandalous sounding topic, right?! Don’t get your hopes up on all kinds of crazy stories though, this tag is about my first experiences on various situations. Some might be a little embarrassing to admit, some might seem a little boring, but I thought it sounded like a lot of fun. I always say how much I love doing these tag posts and I really do enjoy them. Makeup is tons of fun, don’t get me wrong, but I also love posting these as a breath of fresh air and so y’all can get to know different sides of me rather than just my opinions on beauty. Let’s just get straight to it!

1.) First tweet?

My first tweet was a link to my first blog post -- interesting, right?!

2.) First blog?

My first blog post was my Holy Grail Teeth Whitening which has become one of my most popular blog posts. I still use those same products and love it so much!

3.) First person you subscribed to on Youtube?

Kandee Johnson, duh! Who doesn’t subscribe to her first?? Especially four years ago when I created my account and before everyone else got so popular, she was the star of the Youtube beauty community.

4.) First Facebook profile pic?

Ahhh!! Why does this have to be a question?? I don’t even want to show you, it’s so embarrassing!! But here it is:

Oh my goodness -- So this was 14, almost 15 year old Christina. A freshman in high school with glasses, braces, stick on nails, slightly ripped jeans I did myself, and an American Eagle shirt that I was so happy to find at TJMaxx. I was playing a cartoon racing game on our Playstation 2 right before Thanksgiving break. And apparently I would’ve much rathered play that game than clean up that room. Ohhh boyy...

5.) First alcoholic drink?

A frozen banana mudslide. To this day that is still my favorite drink everrrr and I cannot find the mix for it anywhere! I’ve tried adding a real banana and that’s not the same at all, neither is creme de banana. Get it together, Kahlua and bring me my drink back!

6.) First job?

I started working at a local family recreation center the month after I turned 16. We had indoor video games, go-karts, kiddie rides, mini golf, bumper cars, and bumper boats. It was fun for a while, but those hot summers were killer.

7.) First car?

My first car was a burgundy 1998 Nissan Altima that I got the week before I graduated high school and had it for about 2 years. It’s name was Football because that was one of the many nicknames my dad gave me as a baby and because I’m obsessed with the sport. The picture below was the day I brought it home and it obviously needed some TLC.

8.) First person to text you today?

My dad! He had to take my sister to the dentist and we may or may not have been making fun of her fears while she was getting work done ;)

9.) First person you thought of this morning?

My boyfriend <3 He had a job he needed to be at early in the morning and I was waiting to hear from him.

10.) Where did you go on your first plane ride?

I think I went to New York, but I was too young to remember it. The first plane ride I remember was to spend Christmas at my aunt’s house in Virginia. The actual plane ride itself sucked, but the trip was a lot of fun.

11.) What’s the first thing you do in the morning?

Wash my face and brush my teeth. I like to start my day feeling refreshed and if I don’t do those two things, I’m not even going to make it to the coffee pot.

12.) First concert?

Fleetwood Mac! I can’t remember how old I was, maybe 4 or 5, but I went with my mom and my aunt on a reallllyyy cold night in Georgia.

13.) First broken bone?

I’ve actually never broken any bones. **Knock on wood**

14.) First piercing?

My mom and one of my aunts got my ears pierced when I was 6 months old because I didn’t have any hair and people thought I was a boy. Even after I had beautiful gold ball earrings and wore pink clothes, people still didn’t get it...

15.) First foreign country you’ve been to?

Mexico is the only foreign country I’ve ever been to. I went on a cruise with my high school band when I was a senior. We stopped in Cozumel and the water was absolutely stunning!!

16.) First movie you remember seeing?

As in theaters? Or ever? Since there’s no way I’d remember my first movie ever seeing in my life, the first movie I remember seeing in theaters was Holes with my neighbor.

17.) First detention?

Call me a goody two shoes or whatever you may, but I’ve never had detention or had any other kind of disciplinary action in school.

18.) First roommate?

I wouldn’t consider me ever having an actual roommate in the sense that it’s just someone, or a friend, that you’re living with where you split the rent, etc. When I moved out of my parent’s house two years ago, I moved in with my boyfriend -- all the way across the country.

19.) First sport you were involved in?

I did marching band all throughout middle school and high school. I know some people don’t consider that a sport, but by goodness yes it is!

20.) First thing you do when you get home?

Besides love my dog? The first thing I do when I get home is take my makeup off and get into some comfortable clothes. There’s nothing worse than being uncomfortable when you’re trying to relax in the peacefulness of your own home.

Since I had such a simple color last week, I decided to go for something a little more bold this week. I saw the small bottle I had of Nicole by OPI in Mer-Maid for Each Other and realized I had never worn it before. So while I can’t say too much about the actual quality of the polish, the color is a lot of fun! It’s an interesting duochrome with greens and blues. It did seem like a more thin formula, but was perfect with two coats and will hopefully last longer because of that.
