Pixi Peel & Polish Review

Exfoliating is one of the best feelings ever! Not only does it make the outer surface of the skin super soft, it also leaves the tissue underneath totally rejuvenated. Although I can be a little picky when it comes to exfoliators and I do have my favorites, I’m always open to trying new ones because you never know what amazing products you might find. The Pixi Peel & Polish Resurfacing Concentrate is unlike anything I’ve ever tried!

They’re calling this a radiance revealing enzyme peel. Its lactic acid and sugar cane extract work to exfoliate and clarify, revealing smoother, softer skin for a healthy looking glow. It also includes papaya fruit extract, which loosens dead skin cells and improves skin’s texture. This comes with 2.71 fl oz and retails for $24 at Target or on the Pixi website.
This product is suitable for all skin types and can be used in the morning or night 2-3 times a week. It’s recommended that this sits on the skin for up to 2 minutes. If you want some extra exfoliation, you can massage it on the face for 30 seconds before rinsing. I find that I only have to use this once, maybe twice a week. One of my favorite things about this product (aside from the delicious scent) is how long it keeps my skin soft. Most scrubs will leave my skin feeling smooth for a maximum of 2 days. This Pixi Peel & Polish allows me to feel that way for 3-4 days!
I use this as an exfoliation before using a face mask. I apply a thin layer to clean skin, let it sit for 2 minutes, and massage it in with my favorite Olay ProX brush. It smells just like papaya and I love that it doesn’t leave any soapy residue on the skin. I wouldn’t say it has very rough exfoliants in it, like the St. Ives Apricot Scrub that I normally use. These exfoliants are more fine, almost like a microdermabrasion scrub.

Pixi has amazinggg skincare and this might just be my favorite that I’ve tried so far! I’d say it’s a tie between this and the Rose Flash Balm, which is the perfect product to apply after this treatment. If you see this in stores, I highly recommend giving it a try. You won’t be disappointed!

It’s kinda funny how this worked out, my nail color for this week matches the Pixi packaging! The polish I’m wearing is called Life’s A Peach. It’s by the Ulta brand, but unfortunately I think they’ve discontinued this shade. Even though I’m usually very impressed by the Ulta nail polish formula, this one is a little streaky during application. Light pastel shades like this seem to be difficult for most brands to produce perfectly.
What’s on your nails this week?
