June Boxycharm Unboxing
Oh my gosh, y’all. I thought this Boxycharm post wasn’t even going to happen this month. I don’t know what was going on, but they were pretty late in sending it out. It also seems they added a few steps in the system both in tracking emails and in trying to reach customer service. That seems pretty unnecessary and was annoying to deal with, but after what seemed like forever my June box finally arrived! Let’s quickly review last month’s products before getting into all the new goodies.
~GlamGlow GentleBubble Daily Conditioning Cleanser~ This was just okay. The packaging and the price are a little extra for such a basic cleanser. It was a creamy type of consistency and although it did leave my face feeling clean, it kinda also smelled like hospital soap. I was expecting much more from such a high-end brand.
~Bodyography Pro Brush Set~ Both of the brushes in this set are great. I love the flat shader brush to pack color on my lid and that it allows a little bit of movement to help blend. Although I haven’t tried the angled brush in my brows or with any sort of cream yet, I have enjoyed using it to apply eyeshadow to the lash line.
~Alamar Cosmetics Colorete Blush Trio~ As you might have seen in my full review posted earlier this week, I am so impressed with this blush palette!! I thought I had seen some shimmer in the pan at first glance, but it doesn’t transfer to the skin. The blushes are beautifully pigmented, they blend out effortlessly, and I love that there’s no talc in the formula!
~Ciaté Eye Lustre Crème Eyeshadow (Cupid)~ I didn’t end up liking this liquid eyeshadow as much as I thought I was going to. It looks absolutely beautiful in a swatch, but it sheers out to a few glitter specks when applied on the eyes. The purple-pink color is also very faint and the gold glitter is really all that can be seen.
~Steve Laurant Lip Gloss (Posh)~ This gloss is so comfortable, I want every color! The shade Posh would’ve definitely been one of the first colors I’d choose, so I’m very happy that's the shade they included. It has a very faint sweet scent that doesn’t linger too long and it feels super lightweight on the lips.
Aside from the Ciaté liquid eyeshadow, last month’s products were pretty good. The Bodyography brushes are two that I’d use in my everyday makeup routine and I’m so happy with the quality of the blush palette and lip gloss! The theme for this month’s box is Boxycharm Getaway. There’s six products included and I am sooo excited about them all!!

There’s six products included and I am sooo excited about them all!!
The first, and most surprising product in this month’s box is the St. Tropez Self Tan Classic Bronzing Mousse. This was one of the original self tanners to hit the market years ago and everyone seemed to really love it. It is just a small travel size with only 1.69 oz ($18), so I’m hoping it’s enough to at least do one layer over the entire body. They also included the St. Tropez tanning mitt, which is $6.50.
Although I’ve always been curious, I’ve never actually used any St. Tropez tanning mousse before because I couldn’t bring myself to pay so much when I’ve been so satisfied with my St. Moriz that’s less than a third of the price. This is the first tanning product I’ve seen included in a Boxycharm before and I’m so excited about it!
The next product is the Touch in Sol No Poreblem Prime Essence. We got their original No Poreblem primer in the February box and I really liked it, so I have high hopes for this one. This seems to be a little more expensive, coming in at $23 for 1 fl oz compared to $18 for the original. It sounds super liquidy in the container and the applicator tip is very unique, especially for a primer.
This product claims to tighten the pores and smooth skin’s texture, leaving you with a flawless, dewy complexion that is fully prepped for makeup. It says it helps to control oily skin, which is a must for me. Some of its ingredients include calendula flower oil to heal, soothe, and relax the skin, damask rose water helps soothe and supplement skin’s vitality, and L’Arginine which is an amino acid that helps to relax and improve circulation.
We’ve gotten two of these Tarte palettes before, one I was really impressed with (Rainforest of the Sea Volume II) and one that was a little underwhelming (Rainforest of the Sea Volume I). They’re calling this the Be You, Naturally eyeshadow palette. It retails for $36 and comes with 8 eyeshadows, 4 matte and 4 shimmer. It has the same beautiful gold packaging and large mirror as most of their other palettes, but one difference that I noticed right away was that the shade names are only listed on the back and not on the inside.
This palette might look a little boring because it has such a neutral shade range, but that’s what actually makes me super excited about it. I love a good, neutral eyeshadow look and I’m excited to see what this palette can do. The formula of these shadows is very unique and I’m happy with the 4:4 ratio of mattes and shimmers.
Next is a lip liner by the brand Dirty Little Secret. It retails for $15, which is pretty expensive considering it’s a traditional pencil liner and not retractable. I love the shade I got, it’s called Rosie Posie. They claim for this to be a creamy, long lasting, and hydrating lip liner, but they don’t list the reasons why to back up those claims and the ingredients are not listed on the website. That seems a little strange, so I guess we'll just have to see.
The last product in the box is the Lemonade lip gloss by Dominique Cosmetics. Apparently this is Youtuber Christen Dominique’s brand and I had no idea. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her before, but the first thing I noticed when I opened this gloss was the delicious scent. It smells like sugar cookies! This retails for $17 and the shade I have is called Peach Tea. They’re claiming for this to be a sheer hydrating, lightweight, non-sticky balm-like gloss that can be worn alone or layered over lipstick.
I am so excited about every single product in this month’s box! I finallyyy get to try St. Tropez, it’s always great to receive a high-end eyeshadow palette, and I still can’t get over the yummy scent of that lip gloss. The total value for all of these products is $115! If you haven’t signed up for Boxycharm yet, you’re really missing out!
I hope you enjoyed this post! If you have any questions, leave them for me in the comments section. Did you get this month’s Boxycharm? What products are you most excited about?
