June Favorites

Summer is officially here and the pool days are finally about to begin! We were a little late cleaning our pool this year and getting it back to normal, but we got it done and I cannot wait to play! When the weather gets as hot as it is, I don’t usually wear much makeup on my face. It’s such an uncomfortable feeling to wear a full face of makeup in such humid weather. That hasn’t stopped me from finding a few new favorites this month, though. It might not be very many, but they’re good!

I’ve had some Cobian flip flops sitting in my closet for a while and just started wearing them a few months ago. I finally spent the time to break them in and now I’m completely in love. They kinda slip all over the place, though, when they get wet so I went to pick up a new pair that I could take to the beach or kayaking.

These are the Cobian Nias Bounce style and I believe the shade I have is Blush. They’re marketed as water friendly and they’re definitely much better with water than my other pair. These are super comfortable and took almost zero breaking in. I love how slim they are and that the light color matches with everything. I highly recommend checking out this brand if you haven’t yet!
When I got this Alamar Cosmetics Colorete Blush Trio in my May Boxycharm, I had pretty high hopes for it based on previous experiences I’ve had with their products. These blushes turned out to be everything I had hoped for! They’re creamy and easy to blend, they are talc free, and I love the color selection. I’ve been reaching for this palette almost exclusively all month!
In wearing minimal makeup on my face, I’ve also been wearing extremely easy eyeshadow looks. This is one of my old favorite combos that I recently started wearing again and I love it. I use Makeup Geek’s Barcelona Beach in my crease and Ofra’s Bliss over the rest of the eyelid. It provides just enough depth and takes almost no effort at all. Perfect for everyday!
This Pretty Vulgar Nightingale eyeshadow palette is one in my collection that hasn’t gotten the amount of attention it deserves. It’s such good quality and has an amazing color selection, but I’ve been too focused on warm-toned eyeshadows to even look twice at a cool-toned palette. The Pixi Eye Reflection palette really opened my eyes again to more cool and neutral toned eyeshadows and this month I’ve been enjoying this palette a lot more.
I love a good lip gloss and this one from Steve Laurant is definitely my current favorite. I have it in the shade Posh and it’s such a beautiful color. The formula is opaque enough to be worn on its own without any other lip product underneath. It’s not sticky at all, it has a slight sweet scent, and the rose gold packaging is just too cute. I want one of every color!
The Neutrogena MoistureSmooth Color Stick in the shade Fresh Papaya has been a favorite of mine for a long time, but I really only bring it out during Spring and Summer. It’s incredibly easy to apply, it feels very lightweight on the lips, and this particular color is so fresh looking. This is another one I need more colors of, it’s such a no-fuss type of product.
It’s not very often that I include a nail polish favorite, so you know this one has to be good. This is by the brand Fresh Paint and the shade is Guava. I found it at Five Below and picked it up because I just couldn’t turn down such a beautiful, bright neon orange. I had no idea it’d be as opaque as it is. I’m so amazed at how good this polish is, it almost makes me speechless! If you ever find yourself near a Five Below store, I definitely recommend hunting this polish down. I think it was around $2 or $3!
My last favorite is actually an always favorite. This is the Tropical Shine 4-Way Colossal Buffer nail file. I can only find it at Sally’s, but it’s worth making a stop just for this. It was finally time to replace the one I had and even though this is a product I knew I loved, I didn’t realize using a new nail file would be so enjoyable. I barely have to use any pressure at all, this works like a charm!
I’ve been loving all these products so much lately and can’t recommend them enough! I get so excited for any opportunity to wear those flip flops because they’re so comfortable and the opacity of that nail polish still blows my mind. I want to go back and see if there’s any other colors I might need!

I hope you enjoyed this post! If you have any questions about anything I mentioned, please feel free to leave them for me in the comments section. Have you tried any of these products before? What are some of your June favorites?
