StudioMakeup Ease to Wear Palette Review

It doesn’t matter how many neutral eyeshadows I have in my collection, I will always get excited to try a new palette. Although many shades may look very similar, every eyeshadow formula is different. They all have different finishes, undertones, blendability. There’s so much to experiment with that it just never gets boring! I’ve loved the StudioMakeup eyeshadow formula in the past, so the standards were set pretty high for this new Ease to Wear palette.
This palette comes with nine eyeshadows and retails for $35. It is set in cardboard packaging with a soft magnetic closure. The physical palette itself is very thin and sleek with simple black and white lettering. Though there is no applicator or brush included, it does have a somewhat small mirror on the inside with shade names below each eyeshadow.
The shades shown in the swatch picture below are: Sheen, Flaxen, Bare (m), Gilded, Wicked, Lace (m), Dusk (m), Blush (m), and Fate (m). Out of the nine eyeshadows, five of them are matte (m) and the rest have some sort of shimmer finish to them. Flaxen and Gilded have more of a brighter shimmer, whereas Sheen and Wicked are a little more subtle.
The quality of these eyeshadows is amazing! They are incredibly pigmented with a smooth, creamy formula that makes them blend effortlessly. While it is more of a lighter neutral palette, it can definitely create a dramatic look as well as providing the basics for everyday - as shown in my recent tutorial. I really appreciate that it has a variety of shades to create an entire look from start to finish without having to reach for any other products. To me, that’s a total must in a palette!

Overall, I do think there is some wasted space on the inside of the palette where they could have included at least two more shades and the mirror could also be bigger. But the price isn’t totally outrageous considering the formula of the shadows is such high-quality. I do think it is a really good product!
