Laura Mercier Loose Powder Dupe

Eyeshadow is fun and all, but it’s the skin that’s really the star of the show. It took me forever to realize that. It doesn’t matter how gorgeous a blended smokey eye may look, the skin will always draw the attention first. Of course skincare will always be number one, but a few good base face products are also helpful. The Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder impressed me more than I could have ever imagined. The price, however, is less than impressive. It was only a matter of time before a drugstore dupe would be released and it’s finally here!

In case you missed it, you can catch up on my full review of the Laura Mercier powder here. I’ve always described its finish as a real-life Instagram filter on your face. There’s really no other explanation, it’s absolutely gorgeous. I only have the travel size of this powder and that’s honestly what I would recommend purchasing because a little bit goes a long way, so it should last a while. The travel size also comes with the velour puff, which is a total game changer!
I’ve been trying to stretch the Laura Mercier powder as much as I can just because I didn’t want to have to repurchase any sooner than I absolutely had to. Thankfully, Maybelline came to the rescue. I’ve heard that their Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder is a dupe for the Laura Mercier. Specifically the shade Fair is supposed to be the exact dupe.
At first, I didn’t think there was any way another product could even come close to the magic that’s in the Laura Mercier powder. I don’t know how Maybelline did it, but they did. These two are almost completely identical in the way they look, feel, and last on the skin. If I’m being super critical about the differences, I’d even go as far as saying the Maybelline actually looks a little smoother and controls my oil better!
If you’ve been considering trying the Laura Mercier powder, or even if you love it and want to save some money on your next repurchase, I’d definitely recommend picking up the Maybelline powder instead. We’re talking a $31 price difference here! The full size of the Laura Mercier powder retails for $39, whereas the Maybelline is only $8. This has to be one of the best, most exciting dupes I’ve ever found!

I’ve been seeing a lot of these KISS imPress Press-On nails lately, but it wasn’t until I saw Emily (EmilyNoel83 on Youtube) wear them that I actually gained any interest. Once they had her recommendation, I knew they were something worth looking into. The style I’m wearing is called Yeah Boy and so far, I really like it! They were super easy to apply and I’ll be testing them all week to see how they last.
What’s on your nails this week?
