Pixi Summer Glow Palette Tutorial

If you’re in a rush, if you’re feeling unmotivated, if you’re travelling, or if you just don’t like reaching for a lot of products, multipurpose face palettes are the perfect solution! They have blush, bronzer, and highlight all in one place, and can almost always double as eyeshadow. The Pixi Summer Glow palette has been one of my favorites lately because the shades are so wearable and the quality is amazing!

For this look, I’m starting with the Pixi Endless Shade Stick in the color One & Done to prime my eyes. This is from their collaboration with Jen (From Head to Toe on Youtube). I love how smooth this formula is! To apply, just swipe it over the entire eyelid and blend out with the fingers. It provides a beautiful shimmer and will drastically increase the wear time of any product applied on top.

Once the shade stick was set, I moved to the Summer Glow palette and applied the shimmery champagne highlight (Sunshine) over the entire eyelid. This is a very bright and pigmented shade, but because it has such a buttery smooth consistency I like to pack it on with my finger first and then use a small shader brush to blend out the edges.

To add some depth to the look, I took the shimmery bronzer in the shade Summertime and placed that on the outer third of my lid. Because this bronzer has so much shimmer, it’s not one I’d typically wear all around my face which makes it the perfect option in this palette to use on the eyes instead.

Then I went in with the Subtly Suntouched shade from the top row in the palette and buffed that in my crease with a small blending brush. This is a matte shade that is a little too light for me to use as a bronzer, but it’s the perfect transition color for adding some extra dimension to the eyes.

For eyeliner, I used another one of the Pixi Endless Shade Sticks in the color MatteCocoa. This is one of my favorites because it has such a smooth formula that glides effortlessly along the lash line. I also love the softer appearance this brown shade leaves around the eyes compared to the more intense tracing of a traditional black eyeliner.

To finish everything up, I curled my lashes twice and added three coats of the Tarte Big Ego mascara. For this look, I would recommend skipping the falsies to prevent changing courses and going in a more dramatic direction. Mascara by itself is totally fine for this effortless everyday look!

Here’s a more condensed guide for easy reference:

For the rest of the face, I used a combination of Suntan and BareGlow from the palette as my bronzer and Sunswept for my blush. On the lips, I applied the Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lip in the shade Really Rose topped with the Pixi LipLift Max gloss in the shade Sweet Nectar. Really Rose is one of my favorite lip colors and I love the soft peach shine of that gloss!

Multipurpose face palettes are so underrated and this look is just one example of all that they can do. The shimmery champagne shade on the lid could easily be switched out for one of the other highlight options, all of which would pair beautifully with any of the other bronzers. The options are endless!
