Crock Pot Triple Berry Pie

I think I’ve mentioned this before, and don’t judge me for it, but I’m actually not this biggest fan of cake. And when I say I’m not the biggest fan of it, I mean I don’t ever eat it. Like, ever. I think it’s the airy texture of it, but I’ve never liked cake ever since I was a kid. Brownies and cookies were always my favorites. Although this recipe does include cake mix, I think it’s more like a pie or a cobbler because of its consistency. It’s sort of like the same concept as a dump cake, except even easier because we’re making it in the crockpot. It can’t get any more simple!

The ingredients you’ll need are:

~2 - 22 oz pie filling
~Yellow cake mix
~1 cup of butter, melted

When I say this is easy, I mean it! There’s really only two steps to this with the first step being to combine everything into the crockpot. You want to pour the pie filling into an already greased crockpot. I’ve used cherry pie filling in the past, but this time I decided to go with Berry Medley and Strawberry. Since I had two different flavors, I stirred them together before putting the cake mix on top. I know it’s tempting, but don’t stir the cake mix with the filling! Just pour the melted butter on top of that, cover it, and let it cook on high for 2 ½ - 3 hours.

After the 2 ½ - 3 hours is over, take the top off of it and let it cook for another 30 minutes. This will allow the top to get a little crisp. Once those 30 minutes are up, you can serve it in a bowl topped with some whipped cream or next to a scoop of ice cream. It’s extremely hot, so make sure you give it a few minutes after serving it on the plate. The last thing you wanna do is burn your tongue and ruin the whole experience.

I told you it couldn’t be any easier! This was the first time I had ever used anything other than the cherry pie filling and I actually like this combination a lot better. It definitely reminded me more of a cobbler than anything else. Crockpots are seriously one of the best inventions ever!
