Pixi Pretties 2019 Tutorial
The Pixi Beauty brand is amazing. Not only do they put out high quality products at a reasonable price, I also love how they collaborate and include different influencers to create new products. I always look forward to each year’s Pixi Pretties collection and this year’s sets are so much fun. In this tutorial, I’ve challenged myself to use some of my favorite products from all four collaborations to create an entire look!
For primer, I’m using the Endless Shade Stick in the shade One & Done from the collaboration with Jen (From Head To Toe on Youtube). This is a very copper toned color and the formula blends out effortlessly on the lids.

After the primer has dried down, I’m going into the Double Tap eyeshadow palette from the Pixi x Heart Defensor collaboration. The first shade I’m using is called Oh He Got Money. I’m applying this into my crease area with a large buffing brush. All of the eyeshadows in this palette are extremely pigmented, so keep in mind to start with a light hand and add more as needed.
Next I’m using a smaller densely packed buffing brush and the shade called Fur Babies. This is a matte burnt orange shade that I applied to the outer third of my lid, blending the excess into the crease.
After that shade was applied, it left things looking a little too orange for my liking so I decided to add the shade Coffee directly on top to add more depth. I used the same brush to apply it and then went in with a separate, empty, loose-bristled blending brush to soften the edges.
Perfect eyeshadow looks are all about blending and going back and forth between colors, so I went in and added a little bit more of Oh He Got Money right at the edge of the other shades in the crease. This will help to create more dimension and make the eyelid space appear bigger.
For the rest of the lid, I chose the shade called Philippines. This is a beautiful copper shade with gold shimmer. It has a very soft and buttery texture, so I packed it on with my finger first to get the most pigmentation before blending it into the crease with a small shader brush.
The shade called Feb 4th is what I used to highlight my brow bone. Adding a lighter shade in that area will help to lift the brows and make the eyes appear bigger. I also patted a little bit of this shade on the inner corner of my eyelid to brighten and add more dimension.
Switching to the Layers Highlighting palette from the Rachh Loves collab, I’m using the shade called Clutch to brighten the very inner corner of my eye. This is a really bright champagne color that will complement the warm tones on the rest of the eye.
For eyeliner, I first applied the Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen in the shade MatteMulberry halfway along both my upper and lower lashes. Then I went into the Let’s Talk Eyes palette from last year’s Weylie collaboration and applied the shade Bomb directly on top of the pencil to create a softer line.
To finish, I curled my lashes and applied three coats of my favorite Benefit Roller Lash mascara. This is a more wearable look for every day, so I don’t think falsies are absolutely necessary. Especially when using a mascara that provides as much length and volume as this one does.
Here’s a more condensed guide of this tutorial for easy reference:
For the rest of the face, I used the same Clutch highlighter that I used on the eyes to also add dimension to the top of my cheekbones. The lips are a combination of the MatteLast Liquid Lip in the shade Posh Nude from the Maryam (Maryam Maquillage on Youtube) Night Lit Kit, topped with the Chloe Morello Lip Icing in the shade Parfait.
The lip is a little bit more nude than what I would prefer, but I love the gloss. The combination of orange and purple on the eyes is one of my favorites. The quality of every product featured in this tutorial was very impressive. Everything was so easy to work with! Stay tuned for future reviews of each individual collaboration set.
