Top 5 Fall Nails
While the Fall season has technically been here for a while now, the weather is finally starting to feel like it. Every day it’s beginning to feel less like Summer and that means it’s time to rotate some Fall colors to the front of my nail polish collection. I am still obsessing over the nude neutrals from the Emma Beauty L.A. Manicure set that I reviewed last week, but I also like to incorporate more deep jewel tones as the weather starts cooling down.
The first nail polish is the perfect transition color from Summer to Fall. This is Energetic Red by Sinful Colors. It’s an orange based red nail polish that’s bright enough to match the days that are still a little warm, yet that hint of an orange undertone mimics leaves changing and provides those Autumn vibes. Sally Hansen also offers an almost identical polish called Redgy.

Berry shades might just be my all-time favorite color family. I wear berry lips all year round and once Fall hits, I especially love a good burgundy mani. This polish is called Feeling Good! from Emma Beauty. It has a cream finish and the perfect balance of purple and red. This is more of a medium berry shade that is beyond flattering on the nails.
The mauve color family was practically made for Fall! Light mauves are beautiful too, but this deep shade called Mauvelous by Sinful Colors is one of my favorites. It’s almost a borderline charcoal gray, but with a slight purple undertone. This one also has a cream finish, as do all of the polishes featured in this post. If you already have Essie's Smokin Hot in your collection, these two are practically the same thing!
Speaking of charcoal nails this one looks more like a deep gray in the bottle, but it’s actually a dark forest green. This is also by Emma Beauty and is called Saving is So Grand. I didn’t realize until writing this post that I only included polishes from two brands. I guess that really shows what my true favorites are! If you’re wanting a dark polish, but not something as harsh as a black this is the perfect choice. It’s rich and bold without going to the extreme.
My last favorite nail polish to wear in Fall is a gorgeous deep blue. This one is called Cold Leather by Sinful Colors. I'm not sure what's different about the formula of this particular color, but it actually dries down a little matte which makes adding a shiny top coat to finish it off is super satisfying! Blue nail polish can sometimes stain the nails, but when using a good base coat I’ve never had a problem with this one.
I do really love the formula of all five of these specific polishes and even more, I love how affordable they are. The Sinful Colors brand can be found at stores like Walgreens and Target for $1.99 each. The Emma Beauty polishes are available on the brand website for $6 each.
I’ve been pairing all of my mani’s with the Emma Beauty Stuck on You base coat and finishing with the Rock Hard top coat. With that combo, most nail polishes (no matter the brand) will last at least 6-7 days before showing signs of wear at the tips. Check out my previous nail polish hack post to learn more about how I make my manicures last.
