Common White Girl Tag

Taking another break from the beauty talk today to bring you another question and answer post so you can continue to get to know me a little better. Although of course I am still including my Mani Monday at the end ;) This month, I’m answering the questions from the Common White Girl Tag. I was going through different ones and this just stuck out to me because it was a little quirky. Hope y’all enjoy!

1.) Favorite Starbucks drink?

I actually don’t go to Starbucks very often because I love the way we make our coffee at home, but when I do make a visit I usually order the White Chocolate (or Raspberry) Mocha.

2.) How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?

Hahaha, uhhh...like 2 hours if we’re talking about from the moment I wake up till I actually walk out the door. I like to take my time!

3.) How many selfies do you take on a daily basis?

Not very many. I’ll usually only snap some pictures if I need something to post on social media or if my makeup is lookin realll good and I need to remember such a special moment ;)

4.) How many Instagram followers and pics do you have?

I’m still trying to grow it every day because I just created an account when I started this blog, but the day I’m posting this I have 372 followers and 148 pictures. So if you’re not following me there, make sure to! There’s always links at the end of my posts as well as the right side bar :)

5.) Do you ever say “LOL” or “OMG” out loud?

Yepp! I can’t even say I’m ashamed of it either because sometimes, nothing else quite fits in the conversation like those do. #sorrynotsorry

6.) Do you wear the same clothing item more than once?

Absolutely! I probably wear the same clothing items too many times and probably need to open my eyes to what else I own.

7.) Are you racist?

No.

8.) How many tweets do you have?

Not a lot. I’ve only made 104 tweets. I’m not very good at tweeting and honestly don’t even understand all of the buttons.

9.) Instagram, Twitter, or Tumblr?

Well since I just said how I don’t understand Twitter and because I don’t have a Tumblr, I’m definitely picking Instagram. Sometimes I feel like I’m still figuring it all out but I love pictures, so it’s definitely my favorite! It finally made me learn how to use hashtags and emojis! Hahaha.

10.) What do you spend most of your time doing?

When it comes down to how many hours I spend out of my week, I definitely spend most of my time doing (what feels like) a million things to help grow my blog. It’s really hard work, but I’m completely determined and putting my all into making this be successful.

11.) Who are your favorite Youtubers?

Youtube is what encouraged me to embrace my love of makeup. Some of the people I first started watching and still listen to are Kandee Johnson (of course), Melissa Autry (she’s so real), Marlena from Makeup Geek (because I love her brand), and Jessica Braun (she’s always so happy).

12.) How often do you do your nails?

Every week. And I have since I was in 7th grade! I enjoy it so much and on the rare occasion that I get them done at a salon, I can’t wait until they grow out so I can do them myself again.

13.) Are you a shopaholic?

I don’t think so. I mean, don’t get me wrong. I absolutely love to shop!! But I also have days where I just don’t feel like it and I never have been one to freak out if I don’t have the newest/latest things.

14.) How many times have you watched Mean Girls?

I don’t think any more than ten. The last time I watched it was when I was just flipping through channels a few years ago.

15.) Do you own a lot of clothes?

When I do laundry, I’d say absolutely. But when I’m picking out clothes to wear, I’d say no. It’s a matter of perspective ;)

16.) Do you take pictures of your food before you eat it?

No. Unless it’s something fancy and I’m not starving. But usually I am way too hungry and just dig right in.

17.) Do you wear makeup everyday?

No. I don’t wear makeup unless I’m leaving the house and (working from home) that isn’t always very often. I absolutely love every minute I sit down to do my makeup, but I also love to do my skin a favor and just let it breathe. That’s probably one of the biggest factors in helping keep my skin clear.

18.) What are your average grades in school?

Well I’m not in school any more, but when I was they were all A’s and B’s. I think my last C or below was when I was in middle school. Once I hit high school and college, I kicked it in high gear to make my future better. If you’re still in school and reading this, I’m not lying or being dramatic. Keeping my grades up helped my life so much!

19.) How do you usually style your hair?

Since I spend so much time playing with makeup, I’m usually over it once I get to doing my hair. If I don’t have much to do that day or don’t really care, then I’ll just take a few seconds to throw it in a bun. If I do care and it does matter, I’ll quickly curl it with my Nume Lustrum Curling Wand Set and run out the door.

20.) Do you always look presentable?

Ha! No! If I’m in public, I’ll put in the appropriate effort. However, if I’m at home all bets are off and I’m lookin like as comfortable (and publicly unacceptable) as possible. That’s definitely something I can’t stand is being at home and in uncomfortable clothes or makeup.

This was definitely a fun tag to do. Some of my answers might get a little sarcastic or spunky at times, but I’m just typing them as I would if I were in a normal conversation with a friend. I hope y’all appreciate that. These posts are for you to get to know the girl behind the blog a little bit better and I really enjoy them. Since this is the first week of Spring, I wanted something bright. And what’s brighter than white nails? I used the Sinful Colors polish in Snow Me White. This is my favorite white polish ever. It’s affordable, it’s high quality, and it’s opaque. You will need two coats because the first coat tends to be a little streaky. I love how this is making me look like I have a tan right now when I totally don’t at all!
