Styling Sandal Wedges

I am not a high heel type of girl at all. You will almost always catch me in flip flops or Converse, no matter where I’m going. I like to be comfortable at all times and comfort is the last thing that comes to mind when I think of any type of shoe that has a heel. But a few months ago, I picked up these sandal wedges from Lucky Brand when I was out shopping. I had one of those “what was I thinking??” moments when I got home and they just sat in my closet for a while. Then I randomly chose to wear them one day and was so surprised with how comfortable they are. I was also pretty proud of myself with how easy it was to walk with them. So now, I’m kind of obsessed and wear them all the time!

Since it’s not a shoe that I would typically wear or have a lot of experiencing styling, I had a little bit to learn. Although it did help that I got a neutral shade! Of course, the first way I think to style them is with something casual. I’ve always had the mindset that heels are for special occasions, but these just have a casual feel to them with the jute rope around the heel. I like pairing them with tan shorts to stay in the same color range on the legs and some type of blouse that seems a little more put together than a typical t-shirt.

I know summer is coming to an end and now we are already in the first week of October, but I will try to keep the sundresses out as long as possible. With the heat we’re still having in Florida (think high 80’s, heat index into the 90’s) I don’t think I’ll be breaking out the fall clothes any time soon. These shoes match with almost any fun, summer sundress and would be great to travel with.

What makes these shoes so great for me, aside from the fact that I can pair them with almost any outfit, is that they are so comfortable and easy to walk in. I don’t have the same issues with these as I do with most heels I’ve worn in the past. The front straps don’t bother my toes at all and the strap around the ankle makes it so I don’t have anything to worry about. Whether you’re new to heels or a complete pro, I definitely recommend checking these out. I’m having so much fun with them!

This week I chose to go with one of my favorites. I’m wearing a Sinful Colors polish in the shade Soulmate. It’s a perfect muted dusty pink that will look good on about every skin tone and if you’ve been on my blog before, then you know that Sinful Colors is my favorite nail polish brand ever. They’re so affordable and this will last on my nails all week without chipping!

What’s on your nails this week? Leave me a comment letting me know what your most comfortable heels are, these have definitely opened my eyes into trying more!
