StudioMakeup On-the-Go Palette Review

How about we just start this review out by saying that I think I have found my new favorite everyday eyeshadow palette!?! I received this StudioMakeup On-the-Go eyeshadow palette in my September Boxycharm and right from the beginning, I had high hopes for what I could get out of this one. I’ve only owned one other StudioMakeup product before, it was one of their blushes and the pigmentation on it was amazing so I definitely expected the same quality from this palette. Let me just say, it came to impress!

As far as I know, this palette is only available online and it retails for $50. There are nine eyeshadows included with a mixture of different finishes and undertones. There is no mirror included in this palette and there is also not a space for a small brush. Those two things don’t typically bother me because I would rather a company put more effort into the actual product rather than wasting their own time and money on fancy packaging. I normally use my own separate mirror and brush anyway. The packaging is very slim and sleek looking, and it’d be great for travel. It is a type of cardboard and has a magnetic pull to keep it shut.

There are five matte shades, one glitter, and three shimmers included. The majority of this palette is very warm-toned, although there is a nice cool-toned tan that could be mixed with either the lighter or darker shades to create a more cool-toned look. I appreciate that they chose the correct finishes for the correct shades. For example, I’m glad they made the darker browns and transitions matte, while providing shimmery shades for the lid.

This palette has everything I need (and more) to create an entire eyelook on a daily basis. Whether I want something warm and intense or something cool and natural, it covers all the bases. My main shades I always look for in a one-stop palette are a shimmery lid shade, a matte cream, a matte transition, and something I can use for eyeliner. This palette covers all of those and provides multiple of each.

The pigmentation, texture, blendability, wear time, etc. is perfect with all of the shadows. I haven’t found one bad thing in this palette and you know if I did, I would definitely let you know! It’s so easy to reach for every day and offers multiple options in a small compact. There’s a good amount of product in each pan and these are so easy to work with. I am definitely impressed with this palette and don’t think I’ll be putting it down any time soon. Even though the price is a little up there and I don’t usually suggest spending so much, this is one that I can honestly say that I highly recommend. It offers everything all in one place and is something you will constantly get use out of.

If you want to see these shadows in action and missed my previous tutorial featuring this palette, you can find that here. If you have any other questions, please leave them for me in the comments. I’d love to hear if you’ve had the chance to try anything from StudioMakeup before and what you think of the brand!
