Top 5 Spring Lips

Spring is officially here and I could not be any happier. The Winter blues this year was no joke! I was in no mood to be wearing bright, happy colors but now the sun is out and I feel like a whole new woman. In the Winter, I typically wear slightly darker colors on my lips. Once Spring rolls around, though, it’s all about the pinks. Here are my top 5!

These are all somewhat around the same color range, so let’s start with a classic. The NYX Butter Glosses are all anyone used to talk about years ago. They haven’t gotten as much attention since matte lip products hit the market, but I’ve still kept a few of these in rotation. This particular shade is called Vanilla Cream Pie. It’s a beautiful soft, dusty pink shade that is a perfect transition into Spring.
Believe it or not, I actually wasn’t as big of a fan of pink lips until I realized that reds didn’t match my pink hair a few years ago. Once I added in the pink in my hair, I also started searching for the best pink lippies to match. This Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in the shade LA Exclusive was one of the first that I tried. It doesn’t do a very good job at staining the lips, but it is a super comfortable gloss. It almost feels like it has a water base because it’s so lightweight and cooling during application.
This Creamy Lip Stain from City Colors is the only product I’ve tried from this brand and considering how much I love this formula, I’m surprised I haven’t made the time to try anything else from their line. The shade is Flirtini and it’s actually a little brighter on the lips than you might think. It dries down almost matte, but doesn’t do much as far as staining. I just love the consistency, it seriously feels like you’re applying clouds to your lips.
This Nars Satin Lip Pencil in the shade Rikugien came in a Sephora birthday gift a few years ago and I’ve loved it ever since. Pencil lip products are so easy to apply and I love the satin finish that this has. This is more of a softer pink and one that looks so natural on the lips. It matches with almost anything!
My last favorite lip product for Spring is the HAN Skin Care Cosmetics lipgloss in the shade Nude Rose. It smells sweet like frosting (as does the NYX Butter Gloss) and the formula is so comfortable. It’s not thick at all and the color is super flattering. It’s a soft muted pink with a slight hint of brown. This would probably be my favorite to pair with a beautiful warm smokey eye.
These lighter lip colors have definitely gotten me in the Spring spirit. Nothing like some pink lips and warm sunny weather to get you out of that slumpy Winter funk. Now I’m just waiting for the days I can break out my white capris and sundresses!
