November Favorites

Tomorrow is the start of December and while I wish I could say we are all holly jolly ready over here, decorations haven’t gone up yet. My husband’s birthday is the first week of December, so we always wait to decorate for Christmas until after those celebrations. November brought a few new favorites into my routine while also bringing back a couple old staples. There’s nothing quite like being reunited with perfect products!

Hats have been a big thing for me this year and my collection has grown significantly. By the time I finish my makeup, I just don’t have the motivation to do anything with my hair and hats are the perfect solution when running a few errands. This one came from Walmart for under $5! I got a light pink one earlier this year that made its way into my July favorites and I recently picked up this tan one for our Halloween costumes. I love how it matches literally everything and have been wearing it almost every time I leave the house.
I’ve been wearing the same earrings for I don’t even know how many years now. I have a few others that I like to switch it up with (like my morganites or some gold drops), but for the most part I’m always wearing a set of sterling silver cubic zirconia studs that I bought when I worked at Claire’s in high school. I just accidentally washed one down the shower drain a few weeks ago and was looking for replacements. Since I obviously don’t have a Claire’s discount anymore, I went with this more affordable set at Target.

It came with both sizes (set of 4) for $20. They’re slightly bigger than the ones I had before, but I love that they’re more noticeable even when I wear my hair down. They brighten up the face so well and I feel comfortable not having to worry about losing any real diamonds or gemstones.
I know y’all have seen those sherpa pullovers all over Instagram since before Fall even hit. I think they’re super cute and I thought I really wanted one. That was until I realized that most of them cost more than what I would typically spend on a piece of clothing and I don’t actually like pullovers to begin with because they’re too much of a commitment. I put them on and force myself not to take it off in order to not mess up the hair.

So, needless to say, I was thrilled seeing this fluffy cardigan at Walmart. I’ve been seeing a lot of people doing Walmart hauls all of a sudden and I don’t really know what that’s all about. I literally just found this when I was grocery shopping and put it in the cart when I saw it was only $13! It’s sooo warm!! I’m pretty petite and always wear a size small in almost everything, but this fits a little small so I went up to a large to make sure it’d be extra cozy. I chose white, though they did have a few other colors to choose from.

Also, these two little babes are always my favorites...Even if one completely refuses to look at the camera! Seriously, though, they’re so full of love! ♥
I know we’re almost at the end of Fall now and peach is a total Summer scent, but I had this Pretty as a Peach body lotion sitting on my shelf as a backup. I use these small lotions from Bath & Body Works right before I go to bed. Most of the time, they send coupons in the mail for a free one with no purchase necessary. It works out for me because they last me such a long time. I’ve never had this scent before and I’m absolutely loving it, although I probably will eventually make my way to the store for a more season appropriate scent for Winter.
You might have seen in my recent fails post that I was testing a few new skincare products that didn’t work very well. It wasn’t until those products starting breaking me out that I realized I needed to stop and just go back to what I know works for my skin. I immediately repurchased both the Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads and the Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Night Moisturizer. Thankfully they were both on sale on Amazon and I started noticing a difference in my skin within one week. I don’t wanna be without either of these products ever again!
This Chella Beauty Tantalizing Taupe Eyebrow Cream is a difficult one. On one hand, I want to include it in my favorites because the color is great and I’ve always gotten really good results with the actual product itself. But on the other hand, I want to include it in a fails post because the packaging is horrible. I knew packaging would be a problem when I first got this in my July Boxycharm and my suspicions have been confirmed.

I’ve been using it more often this month because I’m worried about the cream drying out. While I’ve always been happy with the way it makes my brows look, it’s not one that I would recommend or repurchase just based on the poor packaging. If they decide to package it differently, the formula definitely has potential to be holy grail status.
I’m not gonna say how long I’ve had this Be A Bombshell Cosmetics Eye Base open in my collection. It’s probably way too long for what’s suggested to keep a product, but it’s still the same consistency as the day I opened it and it’s one of my favorite eye primers. This Submissive shade looks much darker in the packaging than what it shows up on the eyes. It keeps eyeshadow in place for hours, even on my oily skin, and does a great job of enhancing shadow pigmentation.
I loved the Pixi x Weylie Let’s Talk Eyes eyeshadow palette the first time I tried it and it has continued to be a favorite of mine all year. It has every shade in it that I need to create an entire eyelook from start to finish. The quality is amazing and it’s not a product that takes a lot of work. This has been what I’ve reached for this month when I don’t want to think about my makeup and just need something to work the first time without having a bunch of other colors to get distracted with. Christmas is right around the corner and this would be a great gift that can work on all skin tones!
Another year-long favorite of mine is the PĂĽr Cosmetics SoirĂ©e Diaries eyeshadow palette. After the shadows in this palette carried me through my entire wedding day, I feel more than comfortable reaching for this as a reliable product. Besides the fact that it makes me feel special every time I reach for it and apply the same colors that I used the morning I was getting ready to get married. This has slightly more wearable warm-tone shades that aren’t as orange for everyday use.
The lip products that I have to mention have also been long favorites of mine. I try to use new products all the time to test different colors and formulas, or to try to get myself out of my comfort zone. But I always keep going back to my favorites. There’s nothing better than those favorite products that make you look and feel your best.

Lip butters are probably my favorite type of lip product to wear. No matter what brand I’m using, they’re always the most comfortable. However, Ulta’s Lip Butter in the shade Enticing has beat out all the others. It’s the most flattering berry color that matches with everything. I wear this almost daily, even though I sometimes try to save it because I can’t find it online or at Ulta stores anymore and I’m scared they’ll never bring it back.
My next two favorite lip products, and the last favorites that I have to mention, are both by Pixi. Their MatteLast Liquid Lips have been my favorite matte lip formula I’ve ever tried and the shade Really Rose is definitely my most used. These are really good on their own, but I love adding a gloss on top to add some shine and make the lips look more healthy. Any gloss will do, but the gold accents in this Lip Icing from the Chloe Morello collab is so stunning with the rich berry pink. This combo lasts all day! With somewhat frequent gloss applications, of course.
I kinda brought it back to the basics this month and really focused on using all the products that I love. Sometimes I get so caught up in testing new products that I forget my favorites. I test every product as much as I can, but I need to get better at remembering to stop trying to make something work when there’s just no hope. At least when I do get in that testing rut, it makes coming back to these favorites so much more enjoyable.

If you have any questions about any of the products I mentioned, please feel free to leave them for me in the comments section. Have you tried any of these products before? What are some of your favorites from this past month?
