Top 5 Summer Lips

Honestly, I’m pretty boring when it comes to lip colors. Like you didn’t already know that!! I like the classic colors that look pretty, girly, and natural. It’s very rare that I ever wear any of the newer, more bold colors like blues, purples, or grays. I’m also extremely picky when it comes to the consistency of lip products. If it’s sticky at all or uncomfortable in any way, I can’t deal with it. It doesn’t matter how beautiful a color may be, it doesn’t stay in my collection if it’s not comfortable. Even though I’m boring when it comes to the colors I wear, I do have some that I prefer to wear in the Summer versus others that I rather wear in the Winter.

These aren’t listed in any particular order, other than from lightest to darkest. The lightest shade I wear is called Juicy Papaya by Revlon. This is part of their Lip Butters line that I absolutely love. I believe this is their most popular shade, but it was actually the last one from their collection that I picked up. I kept looking at it, thinking it would be too light for my preference. I was wrong, it is gorgeous!!!
This second one looks very similar to the first, but they are different enough to compare on the lips. They even have very similar names! This one is from Neutrogena’s MoistureSmooth Color Stick collection and is called Fresh Papaya. The formula of this feels just like a lip balm and it’s so easy to apply without a mirror. I need to go back and find more colors in this line! The difference between this one and the Revlon peach shade is that this one is slightly more pink on the lips, whereas Juicy Papaya is a little more salmon-like.
I found this next one because I was on the hunt to find a dupe for my wedding lip color. I wore the Rimmel Provocalips in Wish Upon A Berry on my wedding day and I absolutely loved the color, but it was pretty uncomfortable for everyday wear. The L’oreal Infallible Lip Paints are super comfortable and the shade Spicy Blush is pretty close to what I was looking for. It’s such an easy color that matches almost anything!
I’m pretty sure I got this Manna Kadar lip gloss in a Boxycharm a really long time ago. It’s in the shade called All of Me and I absolutely love it. I really wore it a lot when I had my pink hair because it complimented the hair so well. I’ve continued to wear it since then because the color is stunning and the gloss is so comfortable. It’s not sticky at all and it’s super opaque!
The last lip product I want to mention, and probably the darkest of what I wear during Summer, is Wild Watermelon by Revlon. This is another one of their Lip Butters, I have tons from this collection. Berry Smoothie is my favorite and one that I wear all year long. I also really love Candy Apple, but that’s more of a deeper red which is why I picked up Wild Watermelon. It’s still a red lipstick, but it has the slightest amount of pink undertones to make it a little more fresh looking.
I love all of these lip products and constantly keep them in my rotation, especially during Summer. None of them are matte and they’re all super comfortable. I love having a little bit of shine on the lips, I think it’s makes them look so much more healthy. All five of these products that I mentioned are super affordable and easily available at any drugstore, with the exception of the Manna Kadar gloss. I believe that’s only available on their website.
