Black Friday & Cyber Monday Haul Update

Last year’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals were so good, I wish every year could be like that! And as embarrassing as it is to admit it, almost every single thing that I bought was for myself. I had so many things that I had been wanting for months and they were all finally super discounted, I just couldn’t help myself! In case you missed my haul post, you can first catch up on that here for all the deals. It’s been a few months and I’m ready to report back with a haul update to tell you how everything worked out!
The home decor deals at Old Time Pottery were one of my favorite purchases. Not only because I was finally able to have more Fall decor for the house, but also because they were so cheap! Even though I should’ve been decorating for Christmas when I bought these, I still kept them up around the house for a week or so afterwards. I didn’t want to put them away just yet, and I’m already looking forward to bringing them back out next year!
I had already gotten the Aphrodisiac essential oil from Earthbound before and really enjoyed it, so I knew that was one I was going to like. As far as the two other scents, they’re just okay. They’re definitely not my favorite and I’m still deciding whether I’d repurchase them. The Strawberry Melon is pretty nice, but it’s almost too obvious that it’s an artificial scent. I do enjoy the Relaxation oil, even though it can be a little overpowering if you’re not careful.
I had been wanting to try these soy candles from Target for such a long time, and getting four of them for $10 could not have been a better deal. So far, Hot Buttered Rum and Through the Woods were my favorites. Merry and Bright wasn’t very strong at all, and I haven’t made my way to Roasted Chestnut yet. I also really love how perfectly sized they are. They’re great to set on your desk, and they’re not too big to make you bored of the scent.
I’m sure you could tell by my previous posts that I’ve absolutely been loving all the shirts that I also picked up at Target. The plain long-sleeves have gotten the most use just because they’re so easy to layer, but I’m still just as obsessed with the other ones as I was the day I bought them. They’re just so stinkin soft!!
The Macy’s purchases were also really big hits! I haven’t worn the pink shirt as much because it is more thin than the others. I’ve been wearing the cardigan and the beanie way too much. Any time that I see that either one of those matches my outfit, I always add it in. The pockets are so perfectly placed on the cardigan, and the beanie is so comfortable. I’m definitely looking into buying more colors of the same style! The turtle neck has also gotten much use, especially during the holidays. The cream sweater paired with a bold red lip was perfect for Christmas!!
I probably don’t even have to say anything about this It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty eyeshadow palette because the front page of my blog says it all. Between my full review and tutorial, I think it’s pretty obvious how much I’ve been obsessed with this palette. It seriously has been one of the only palettes I’ve been using lately. The quality is so amazing and I’m obsessed with the matte color selection!
Because I’ve been so pale this Winter, I haven’t gotten to using the new pan of my favorite Bad Habit bronzer from Makeup Geek. However, I have really enjoyed playing with the new blush and eyeshadows. I don’t have anything like either of those three products, so it’s all been a new adventure for me. Except for the quality, I already knew I was obsessed with their formulas. Keep an eye out for a tutorial next week featuring these eyeshadows for a sweet Valentine’s Day look!
I haven’t actually worn this Lip Creme very much because it’s a lot more purple in person than what I was expecting when I ordered it. I really like the packaging and when I have worn it, I did enjoy the lightweight formula. However, I’m still deciding what I think about the applicator. It’s different than most other lip products, so there’s a little bit of an adjustment during application. I’m thinking I’m not really a fan of it, but I still need to use it more and learn it better.
In case you missed it, I just posted my full review of this KL Polish trio on Monday. I really like the brand, the packaging, the brush, and the handle. But what I wasn’t too impressed with was the wear time. It chipped just as much as any other polish does and the colors look very similar to others that I have in my collection, so I don’t necessarily think it’s worth the price. At least not for these three, anyway.
Overall, I’d say my Black Friday and Cyber Monday purchases were a big success. There were a few that I wasn’t 100% happy with, but nothing was too horrible. I’m so glad I finally have soft, warm Winter clothes because that’s not something I’ve ever added into my Florida wardrobe. I’ve wanted that It Cosmetics palette for years and I’m super excited to finally have it in my collection, and that it’s better that I had expected. I love it when that happens!

If you have any other questions, please feel free to leave them for me in the comments section below. Have you used any of these products before? What great deals did you score on Black Friday?
